Services – Technical Communication
ISE Inc., Tokyo, Japan, is a leading company that pioneers new areas in technical communication. With the advancement of digital technology, products and services are undergoing a radical revolution. In this modern world, the significance for technical communication skills, digital data development, and technical standardization within a variety of languages is quickly growing. Because this revolution is changing the demands upon information systems, the fusion of technical documentation and system development technology is going to be the key. With ISE’s achievements in technical documentation and system development as the backbone, we understand the continuously changing needs of our customers and present project plans for problem solving with accuracy. Using the energy of our core competence based on human vitality, we continue to create a new sense of value.
Technical Communication & Interface Design
As part of our technical communication services, we create instruction manuals for computers and mobile devices, imaging equipment, medical devices, as well as electrical devices for household and entertainment purposes. Furthermore, we create electronic service manuals and web manuals (HTML, Flash). We offer RIA (Rich Internet Application) -based user interface design and development, cross-media development support via systems, and assessments of instruction manuals (suitability assessments).
Technical Communication & Documentation
As mentioned before, an integral part to the aspect of technical communication is the creation of sufficient instruction manuals that are required for each product. This process includes: cutting the volume of text via visual designs, which can significantly reduce translation costs while improving usability; inclusion of safety requirements that are based on safety standards, regional laws and regulations; implementation of risk analysis in instruction manuals, which diminishes the risk caused by erroneous operations and improper usage of products. A strong focus of ISE is on the translation and localization of the finished manuals. To optimize production costs and manpower, the post-translation layouts are handled by the systems as master data of the original English version. We use XML data to speed up translation workflows, which in turn allows for a potentially higher number of language versions of the respective instruction manual.
Our technical communication processes will help yield after-sales cost reduction by reducing the number of inquiries to call centers, reducing expenditures associated with erroneous operations and usage, and accurately including safety requirements that are based on regional laws and regulations.
